SEW Ltd. Goldsmith/Silversmith

Silversmithing Workshop
SEW silversmithing workshops grew out of the desire to encourage others to have go and enjoy learning some of the techniques involved in making bespoke gold and silverware.

SEW Ltd offer a Standard Silversmithing Workshop Day for beginners but can also cater for people who have visited us before and want to make something different.

The Silversmithing Workshop Day has also proved to be an unusual and very successful gift which can be given for a Birthday, Anniversary or for Christmas.

What to expect from our Silversmithing Workshop Day:
  • A practical, hands-on, creative day tutored by bespoke designer gold/silversmith Steve Wager.

  • We aim for all the participants to take home a piece of silver which they have made themselves.

  • The standard ‘absolute beginners’ package involves making a silver spoon or if you are returning student maybe a larger spoon or a small box.

  • The emphasis is on participants having-a-go and gaining an insight into basic silversmithing techniques as they create something they will be proud of.

  • These workshop days are hugely successful with everyone finding it fun, rewarding, educational and immensely satisfying.

  • All silver, use of tools, tuition, refreshments and lunch, demonstrations of the processes and tools are included.

Steve Wager is also running three PRIVATE TUITION mid-week classes on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. These classes have a limited space.

Short courses in Chasing, Enamelling and Engraving are available on request. These classes have a limited space.
