OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU
Our website pages will guide you through the steps you need to take to place an Order with us. Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your Order at each stage of the order process. It is your responsibility to make sure all the details in your Order are correct.
If you think that there is a mistake or require any changes, please contact us to discuss.
When you submit your Order to us, this does not mean we have accepted your Order for any Items. Our acceptance of the Order will take place, and these Terms will become binding between you and us, when we issue you with an Order Confirmation, at which point the Contract will come into existence between you and us.
If we are unable to supply you with the Items or otherwise cannot accept your Order, we will inform you of this and we will not process the Order. This might be because the product is out of stock, because we have identified an error in the price or description of the product or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified.
YOUR RIGHTS TO MAKE CHANGES
If you wish to make a change to the Items you have ordered, please contact us and we will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible, we will let you know about any changes to the price of the Items, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.
OUR RIGHTS TO MAKE CHANGES
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Every time you order items from us, the terms and conditions in force at the date of your order will apply to the contract between you and us. We will not at any time change the terms and conditions which apply to any Order you have already placed.
If you are a consumer, you may only purchase items from our website if you are over 18 years of age and have a valid credit/debit card.
PRICES AND DESPATCHED ITEMS
All sizes and weights given are averages, Prices shown on the website could be altered by S.E.W Ltd at any time due to the price fluctuation of used commodities. In the case of any unexpected change in price, you will be informed and asked if you wish to reconsider your order prior to proceeding. All prices are stated in British pound sterling £ GBP. If you are purchasing from outside of the UK, currency exchange rates and credit card charges may make a difference to the amount billed.
Goods will only be despatched when full payment has been received and cleared.
I am happy to send work outside the UK, but please contact me rather than buying through the shop to get the correct postage rate. Recipients are responsible for any local taxes that may occur.
UK DELIVERY - Stock Items Only
Free UK standard delivery using 2nd Class Post - 3-5 working days, all deliveries are tracked, express services must be signed for. UK public holidays will affect delivery dates and we are unable to deliver on Bank Holidays. Orders place after 1pm on a Friday will not be despatched until at least the following Monday.
These deliveries are priced at £15 for Europe and £20 for Rest of World.
Your order will be dispatched in an unbranded external envelope/box. If you require a special gift box for your piece, for an extra cost I can supply one.
REPAIRS / REPLACEMENTS
Any special order, commission or personalised item will be repaired or replaced only if there is a problem with the manufacture. It cannot be exchanged or a refund given. Please contact me and await my response before you return anything. You must pay the cost of returning the item using packing equivalent to that in which was despatched to you. I advise you to use a tracked delivery service.
Workmanship is guaranteed for 6 months provided the article has been used or worn sensibly. You must pay your return costs.
My contract with you is only concluded when I have confirmed that the item is available and have received full payment. I will not send a substitute item without consultation.
S.E.W Ltd is non VAT registered.
You may, of course, organise your own engraving and I can suggest some companies for you to use. Alternatively, I will organise engraving for you at an added cost and is subject to a handling charge on the engraver’s costs. I will send you a copy of my instructions to the engraver for you to check the spelling and all other details prior to them starting the job, If the work is incorrectly engraved compared to the instructions that you have approved, then I will get it corrected at my cost. If the error is due to a mistake on the instructions you have approved, then you must bear all the costs of any rectification.
I will endeavour to keep you informed of progress. I will also contact you before delivery, where you have paid a deposit, I will make every effort to contact you, but if I have not heard from you about paying the final sum after three months of my last attempt to contact you, then I will consider that you have defaulted on the agreement and therefore you will forfeit the deposit. I will then sell or otherwise dispose of the commissioned work and retain all proceeds. As all pieces are handmade, slight variations from the examples shown are possible. Natural materials such as horn, wood and mother of pearl do vary in colours and patterns.
The content, organisation, graphics, design, compilation, magnetic translation, digital conversion and other matters related to the Site are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks, registered trademarks and other proprietary (including but not limited to intellectual property) rights. The copying, redistribution, use or publication by you of any such matters or any part of the Site is strictly prohibited. You do not acquire ownership rights to any content, document or other materials viewed through the Site. The posting of information or materials on the Site does not constitute a waiver of any right in such information and materials.
SATURDAY WORKSHOP VOUCHERS
Vouchers are valid for one year from the date on the voucher. There is no cash redemption value for the voucher. Voucher sales must be arranged directly with me as there is no way to redeem them via the shop payment system.
Designs incorporating stones or other materials provided. I cannot accept any responsibility should they break or be damaged while I am working with them.
EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms that is caused by an Event Outside Our Control.
An "Event Outside Our Control" means any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, governmental actions, strikes, acts of terrorism, war or national emergency, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, extreme weather conditions, or impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
If an “Event Outside Our Control” takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under these Terms, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
If this means we are unable to deliver the Items to you on the estimated delivery date, we will use all reasonable endeavours to offer you an alternative date. If the date we offer to you is more than 30 days after the date on which you receive your order confirmation, you will be entitled to cancel the Order provided you notify us of cancellation before we dispatch the Items to you. If you do cancel, we will provide you with a full refund. We shall not, however, be liable for any costs, losses or damages you suffer as a result of cancel.
