Hot Benching enables you to rent a bench on a Monday or Tuesday,  during term time only (we break for Easter, Summer, Christmas and New Year) you must book six weeks at a time, prior to starting, an interview is required (please ring to book an interview)

Hot Benching is aimed at Silversmiths/Jewellers/Allied Trade personnel of all ages who would like to try their hand at either setting up a business or working on your own projects, there is no help from Steve Wager the resident master gold/silversmith, it is for you to work in a manufacturing environment, in fact even if you just need to have time to yourself for a few hours without the burden of taking on a long-term lease or purchasing expensive equipment this would be an ideal opportunity.  You will also need to have a interview prior to attending the workshop and for health and safety reasons there needs to be at least three personnel in the workshop at anyone time, if I am not there.

Hot-benchers have access to a shared fully equipped Silversmithing workshop, which means you do not have to spend large amounts of capital to get started. All refreshments i.e tea/coffee (please bring your own lunch), a reference library, chill out area (great place to meet clients) and kitchen/toilet facilities are all included in the price.

Hot benching does NOT include tuition and is only open to personnel with Silversmithing / Jewellery / Allied trade experience.

The workshop/studio is based in South East London’s Artisan Quarter of Camberwell.
